You can’t even imagine the beauty and serenity that await you as you drive into Northampton and Auburn Lakes for the first time.
A little background about Northampton & Auburn Lakes:
So many of our Northampton Neighbors say that all it took for them to fall in love with Northampton was just that first drive down Northcrest and they knew they had to live here!
Northampton boasts almost 1700 homes and yet, it’s still growing. Auburn Lakes is just about connected to Northampton and is also served by our Northampton Neighbor newsletter, as is Sterling Ridge of Northampton.
All of this is located in Spring, Texas and within the boundaries of Harris County. We are just immediately south of Creekside Village, the newest village of The Woodlands and also just to the south of Augusta Pines. We are located about 5 miles from I-45 North and our borders are roughly Root Road, Gosling Road, Kuykendahl Road and Spring Creek.
Our closest “big” intersection would be F.M. 2920 and Kuykendahl. We can take Gosling at the north end of Northampton right up to The Woodlands Mall and Market Street and be there in about ten minutes.
We’re kinda hard to find and really, that’s just the way we like it! It’s like a secret jewel of Northwest Harris County out here.
We have several parks, ponds, playgrounds, pavilions and three neighborhood pools. Our neighborhood swim team is the award-winning Cudas with over 200 swimmers each year.
There are numerous tennis courts and more on the way that are lit at night to enable playing when it’s convenient to you.
We have a Municipal Utility District (or “MUD”) building where neighborhood meetings take place, as well as several other clubhouse buildings that are rented out on a regular basis for everything from birthday parties to weddings.
We also have two fully stocked workout rooms, one in Northampton and one in Auburn Lakes, where again you can workout on your own schedule.
One thing you’ll notice right away in Northampton (besides the gigantic pine trees and azaleas everywhere!) are the large front lawns and wide streets that encourage lots of walkers, joggers and kids on bikes.
Since all three of our public schools (Northampton, Hildebrandt and Klein Oak) are clustered together and connected to Northampton, many of the children walk to school or ride their bikes on the streets that are all zoned to 20 m.p.h.
After school, you’re sure to see the same children attending Scout meetings in the clubhouses, playing sports on the school fields, or just playing on the playgrounds or along the trails of Willow Creek.
Northampton’s ponds and creeks have an abundance of wildlife for kids to check out like deer, raccoons, possums, squirrels, lots and lots of songbirds, owls, egrets, herons, really big bullfrogs, ducks, geese and the fish in our catch and release neighborhood ponds.
Speaking of Willow Creek, we have an excellent golf course here named, you guessed it, Willow Creek Golf Course. It’s been renovated in recent years and many of our Northampton Neighbors really enjoy the convenience of coming home after work and hitting the course for a quick 9 holes.
Northampton is also well served by having a Harris County Pct. 4 substation in Northampton as well as Spring Volunteer Fire Station #72. We also have a MUD board to oversee the water service, Maintenance Board to enforce deed restrictions, and the Northampton Homeowner Association (or “NHOA”) that puts on monthly events for all the neighbors to enjoy.
Our home prices generally range from the mid 100’s to over a million dollars for the newest ones. Some of our homes are over thirty years old and some are less than thirty days old, but because of the pride that everyone takes in Northampton, they all look beautiful and well kept up.
One extra special part of Northampton that you really don’t hear about until you’ve lived here a few years is the fact that there are many families here that have raised their children here and seen them go off to college, get married and decide that they want to move back to Northampton to raise their own children here.
This attribute alone is a wonderful testament to how very special Northampton is in the hearts of the residents. Just drive down Northcrest Drive once and you’ll be hooked as well!
